Most have trouble keeping their lids on during aggressive trail riding. This SKS Cagebox is good. The lid stays on well and there's a lot of space in the bottle. I carry an inner tube, a patch kit, an inflator, two CO2 cartridges, a derailleur hanger, a and multitool; there's space for all that with some to spare. I don't like the orange lid, but that's vanity.I don't like to carry my stuff in my pack because it adds extra weight between me and my saddle. I just stuff the Cagebox and leave it on the bike. It's always there when I need it. I put a toe-clip strap around the cage to keep the Cagebox secure. Very stable in the bottle cages and can be strapped down via the hole in the lid... I mainly roadbike, so no need for a strap. Not sure it was worth the price paid, but love the convenience! Pack everything tight enough so it doesn't jingle jangle. 5 stars! |
