I'm about to buy a new computer due to the following:1. The computer believes it is 2004 rather than 2012. It reset itself on its own. There is no way to reset this. I think the bike shop can, but why can't it get the time from the computer? 2. The computer repeatedly loses contact with both the e-bolt sensor. At least once a week I have to pull the battery and re-pair the sensor to the computer. 3. When you re-pair the computer defaults to metric units, not the last used settings. The computer obviously can store some information through a battery loss as the clock is maintained. 4. The PC software is a piece of crap. Seriously, you can't really do any analysis on what the computer outputs. No excel data exporting (or RTF, or text file, or whatever). 5. The computer lost the ability to record elevation. I should know that you need to really read into the description and everything to make sure you know what you're getting, but I can't help but feel a bit deceived. I can't imagine there are many people who already have the mount and sensor, but just need the computer. Why can't they just put a quick remark saying "Attention: This is JUST the computer, not anything else!"So even though I haven't even used the product yet, I felt the need to throw this up on the review board so no one will repeat my mistake. Yes, this only cost me $100, but I just spent another $36 on a sensor and mount. Lame. |
