These things are on all the time. I just want to use them at night (you get a pair, which is not clear from from the blurb). How long is the battery going to last if the're on all the time? There are two watch batteries in each one, so I think battery replacement is going to be prohibitively expensive. The instructions translate from German are sparse: "Fix with the screws at two spokes. Ready!"

I installed the pair, one on the front wheel, the second on the rear. Within two weeks one of them was smashed into several pieces when apparently one of the two bolts that holds the reflector to the spokes, worked loose and fell out. the second bolt apparently worked loose as well and finally the reflector was dangling and was smashed when it struck the bike frame while I was traveling about 15 MPH. I never found all of the pieces. So I tightened the other reflector so that would not be lost. The second lasted 5 months before it was smashed against the frame in a similar manner. The batteries had drained well before 5 months and the LED's no longer flashed after about 2 to 3 months.
So if you purchase these reflectors, I recommend putting a little glue on the nuts and bolts so the bolts don't back out over time. Also if you bike a lot of miles like I do (3-4 hundred per month) don't expect the batteries to last long.
