Even though my shipment did not come in time FedEx was late due to snowstorms by 2 days. Sean (OWNER) of ROLWheels in his busy time responded with outstanding customer service and called me back regarding questions I have about the wheel set. If that's not impressive enough the Race SL wheel he makes are TOP NOTCH! All the hype about it including the review by Testrider.com is right to the tea. It loves to accelerate, no energy you give it is wasted instead it is turned into forward movement due to the wheel's smooth (like silk) rolling, light weight, and stiffness. ROL WHEELS are the real deal. I couldn't believe a pair of wheels could make such a difference. I am riding on these wheels for my next century ride! I will recommend this item to any intermediate to expert cyclist who is looking for a good set of wheels for their road bike.

The Race SL's are one of the best aluminum wheels available for under $1000 (maybe even over $1000 but I've never spent that much!) Easton EA 90 SL's have been my wheels of choice for the past 3 years - which were a fine set of wheels but had way to much flex when pushing hard up hills and a high propensity for broken spokes (I've broken 4 spokes on 2 different sets of EA's).
I weight about 175 pounds and have put over 500 miles on these wheels and they handle well in all conditions - curves, hills, flats, braking, and 40mph+ speeds. The 30mm rim feels very aerodynamic in headwinds but is a little harder to control in crosswinds than the EA's. They are still as true as they were out of the box - even after hitting a few holes.
If you are looking for a set of wheels that are well made, light weight, with excellent performance all at an awesome price - this is your wheel!

I have used this wheelset now for almost two months and about 600 miles. I replaced my Neuvations, which are nice wheels, with these SL's. Even at my intermediate skill level I can feel the difference. These wheels spin up faster, climb better and feel much stiffer. What adds to the appeal of these wheels, is the ride does not suffer at all. They ride as smooth as silk on my Roubaix and add to an already beautiful ride. I would recommend these wheels to anyone looking for an easy upgrade that will really make a difference you can feel, without breaking the bank. GREAT WHEELSET!
UPDATE: I now have more than 2,000 miles on these wheels and they are as nice and true as the day I took them out of the box. I really love these wheels. It maybe time to buy a second set and put them on my wife's ride.
