I believe my old one was a 2004 Transfer, which ironically was a lighter helmet. I don't mind the heaviness that much since the ventilation is WAY better with the Saros. Sweat does easily poor down these two channels that lead directly into your eyes (which is a little annoying) and the graphics aren't on straight, but It was on sale for a lot. I also have a gigantic head and the Atmos looked a little weird on me, but the Saros was great. It definitely withstood the the crash test! Luckily Giro has a crash replacement program, wasn't real keen on having to fork out that much dough again.It also looks great too and makes you feel like your going that much faster because of the swooshy design. Sometimes I even felt like I didn't have it on, it was a bit snug while wearing my cycling cap for sun but it still worked perfect. Though it costs a bit much, it is a great helmet. |
