If you mount it straight/right your able to get a little light on the ground, and in the middle. The visibility in dark areas is amazing. I went mountain biking in a dark forest and these lights are amazing. Buy two and you'll be amazed. There mounted right that the light hits the street signs everytime. The light goes very far. I am very proud of this purchase. When I tried that new light, it too stopped working within only a few minutes of use.
